the Swimming Pool, Spa and Sauna business are blossoming
everywhere throughout Asia. China, itself has now become
the focal point of this economic upswing and is currently
experiencing some of the strongest market gains seen anywhere
in the world. Accelerated economic growth, rising personal
income levels and more attention by government to national
health have all led to an extremely strong demand for
solutions in developing swimming pools, spas and saunas.
With these developments in mind and the internationalization
of the industry Messe Stuttgart and VNU Exhibitions Asia
will join forces to bring the world leading show Interbad
to China.
Impressive market development
Swimming is a popular sport in China with 1 billion person-times
each year. The 5 billion rmb (approx. 500 million euro)
in which different levels of the government invested each
year to construct more than 3,000 swimming pools still
cannot meet the increasing demands of the public for swimming.
In view of this situation, government has been increasing
the investment and speeding up the pool construction.
